1. Acknowledging the positive

When feeling body or style conscious, it can be hard to enjoy your day without anxiety and feeling negative. Although it is completely normal, some find it harder than others to get on with their day and discard feelings which get in their way!

Acknowledging a positive / good part of each day is a really simple, basic but effective way to encourage self esteem and positivity! This may sound like a silly technique to some, but after testing it with many patients in the past, we know that some of the easiest, most obvious processes are the most effective!

Try making a blog on TikTok, a list or simply consider a positive point of each day. Whether you write the positives down in a notebook or talk to someone about them, we know that this super simple technique will help you! At first this process could seem pointless and difficult to complete, but the longer you stick with it the more beneficial it is!

2. Inspirational cards

When feeling down or needing a confidence boost, inspirational cards can make you feel more positive about the way you look! Linking to the first technique, these cards can encourage you to consider a positive of each day, developing and improving your self esteem. 

Every Body have worked on a set of creative visuals, showcasing inspirational messages for our customer, you! With cards being released every few days you wont run out of positivity! Find a sneak peak into a couple of our cards above...

3. Rewarding yourself

Rewarding yourself can boost positivity in you, and in general! When you are faced with tasks you have to complete but dislike, it can make you feel negative and down. Putting off a task can lead you to feel bad about yourself depending on what it is. Every Body have found a technique which helps to minimise this issue!

After completing a difficult or unwanted task, You should reward yourself by doing something you love! This has been proven to increase positivity and self esteem, as well as confidence! Rewarding yourself can help you to feel better in yourself, but also encourages you to continue to complete tasks you dislike but may have to do!

Every Body creates tailored templates for you, helping you to schedule your day. These templates will list the tasks you have to complete each week and will give you rewards once you have completed these. Rewards which are suited to your hobbies and likes will be encouraged after you have completed the daily tasks.

4. Don't compare yourself to others

The heading says it all. Don't compare yourselves to others. This is easy to say however here at Every Body we understand that it is difficult not to compare yourself to others. As hard as it is, we all need to stop doing this as we are so unique and different; comparing yourself to someone else wont change the way you see yourself.

Every Body celebrates individuality and differentiation; comparing one another is not something we encourage! Appreciate your special qualities no matter what you feel about them! We are determined to make you feel more positive about yourself and we can do this through this next technique! 

Make a list of all your unique qualities and what you love about yourself. If your struggling, get a friend or family member to help you! Keep this list and refer to it daily, remind yourself of your best qualities! As cringey and basic as it sounds, this list will boost your confidence in no time! 

The key to all of these techniques is to stick with them! Repetition is your best friend!

5. Challenge negative 'self talk'

We all talk to our selves or about ourselves negatively, whether this be because of how we look or because of something we have done. Although you may not notice it, talking negatively about yourself can be one of the most damaging things you can do to yourself and your overall esteem. 

When we talk to or about ourselves negatively, we are repeatedly surrounding ourselves with new issues which can eventually cause us to believe what we say. Research shows that the more doubtful and harsh you are about yourself, the more negative you can be towards others and their appearance. If you can't and don't accept the way you look, how can you appreciate what others look like?

Challenging negative 'self talk' is one way in which you can become more positive and confident in yourself. Despite the simplicity of this technique, it can be one of the more difficult processes to complete. Whenever you talk negatively about yourself, stop and counter balance this with a positive. Think of something you like about yourself or something you are proud of. Sometimes this can be hard to recognise, so get your family and friends to help identify when you do this!
